Salzburg

In January I went to Salzburg, Austria and I completely fell in love with this city. Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and since 1996 is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The responsible for the photos is Gustavo Figueiredo. 

Em Janeiro eu estive em Salzburg, na Áustria e me apaixonei por essa cidade. Salzburg é a cidade natal do compositor Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart e desde 1996 é considerada patrimônio mundial da UNESCO. O responsável pelas fotos é Gustavo Figueiredo.

The Breathtaking Ukraine ‘Green Mile’ tunnel

These breathtaking photos feature a train tunnel in a forest at Ukraine. How incredible is this place? The lucky photographer (for have already been there) is Oleg Gordienko.

Amsterdam

In September I spent 4 (sunny!!!) days in Amsterdam together with a friend and my boyfriend. I felt in love with that city, so charming and unique! Here are some pictures, I hope you enjoy it :)

Love the Language

I have been traveling a lot, lived in three different countries (and also Brazil, where I was born and spent most part of my life) and I know the pains and pleasures of experiencing another culture.

The language school EF (Education First) launched a campaign very interesting, the videos show the experience of exchange students in a very artistic way. EF is a language center founded in Sweden in 1965 and they operate in over 50 countries.

The first video I saw was the one about Sydney – actually, the video 'found me' as I have lived there.

All videos are beautiful and nice to watch, the director Gustav Johansson did a great job. But what I liked most was the typographic logotypes. Amazing! The responsable for this work is Albin Holmqvist. 

But I confess that I missed a little more reality to the life of an exchange student. First, this simple and easy life shown in the videos is a utopia. The difficulties of living in another country end up being part of the beauty of this experience. And speaking specifically about the Sydney video, an English school there with no asian at all is not an english school in Sydney. In fact, Sydney without Asians is not Sydney, they are everywhere and it is clear their cultural influence in the city.

But the videos are worth and make us want to travel around the world even more! Enjoy it :)

Eu já viajei bastante, morei em 3 países diferentes (fora o Brasil onde eu nasci e passei a a maior parte da minha vida) e sei bem as dores e as delícias de encarar uma outra cultura. 

A escola de línguas EF (Education First) lançou uma campanha bastante interessante e diferente das outras escolas de línguas que eu já vi. São vídeos mostrando a experiência dos intercambistas de forma bastante artística. EF é um centro de línguas fundado na Suécia em 1965 e que está presente em mais de 50 países.

 O primeiro vídeo que vi da campanha da escola de línguas foi o de Sydney - certamente esse vídeo me achou por eu ter morado lá. 

Todos os vídeos são muito bonitos, gostosos de assistir, o diretor Gustav Johansson fez um ótimo trabalho. No entanto, o que mais me encantou foram as tipografias. Incrível! O responsável é Albin Holmqvist. 

Mas confesso que senti falta de um pouco mais de realidade para a vida de um intercambista. Primeiro que essa vida simples e fácil mostrada nos vídeos é uma utopia. Os perrengues do dia-a-dia acabam fazendo parte da beleza dessa experiência. E falando especificamente do vídeo de Sydney, mostrar uma escola de inglês sem NENHUM asiático não é uma escola de inglês em Sydney. Aliás, Sydney sem asiáticos não é Sydney. Eles estão por toda parte e é fácil perceber a grande influência cultural deles na cidade. 

Porém os vídeos valem a pena e faz com que a gente sinta ainda mais vontade de viajar pelo mundo.

Move Learn Eat

Move Learn Eat are three short one minute films that are enough to make anyone desires to travel the world. The idea is simple and it’s easy to notice the incredible amount of effort and passion put into it. And I would like to emphasize the brilliant editing and compelling story.

The first time I saw them I thought it was an independent project of three crazy talented guys. But the videos were commissioned by STA Travel Australia (which makes it a little less poetic but still awesome).

In the words of the director Rick Mereki, Move, Learn and Eat is about “3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage…all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food…into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…

= a trip of a lifetime”

Move Learn Eat são 3 vídeos de 1 minuto cada que são suficientes para deixar qualquer um com vontade de viajar o mundo todo. A ideia é simples e é fácil notar o esforço e a paixão com que esses vídeos foram feitos. E eu gostaria de destacar a brilhante edição e compilação.

A primeira vez que assisti pensei que fosse um projeto independente de três malucos talentosos. Mas os videos foram desenvolvidos para STA Travel Australia (o que deixa um pouco menos poético mas ainda absurdamente incrível).

E como eles mesmo disseram:

"3 caras, 44 dias, 11 países, 18 vôos, 38 mil milhas, um vulcão em erupção, 2 câmeras e quase um terabyte de imagens ... tudo isso para transformar três conceitos lineares ambiciosos baseados no movimento, aprendizagem e comida .... em 3 bonitas e espero que convincentes curtas-metragens .....

= A viagem da sua vida."
